Job Description
The hiring company is a 12 billion US-based unicorn that specializes in payroll and compliance for remote workers and companies, and we are looking to hire a Sr. DevOps Engineer. In this role, you will work with the latest AWS technologies and manage their AWS production deployments. You will also design and develop tools for managing and applying DevOps principles, such as CI/CD automation and IaC, and work with the team to enhance production stability, availability, and reliability.
If you have 5+ years of relevant DevOps work experience in Production environments, a strong IT background, and familiarity with AWS services, EKS, Postgres, S3, Mongo, SES, and SQS, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
• Work with the latest AWS technologies like Kubernetes (EKS), S3, Postgres, DocumentDB, and more
• Manage their AWS production deployments (SaaS) running on AWS EKS
• Design and develop tools for managing and applying DevOps principles, such as CI/CD automation and IaC (Infrastructure as Code) on our Cloud-based production systems
• Work with the team to enhance production stability, availability, and reliability
• Install, configure, update and troubleshoot their product microservices and tools including databases
• Design and manage different monitoring and observability tools for troubleshooting and resolving production issues
Requirements:
• 5+ years of relevant DevOps work experience in Production environments
• Strong IT background
• Deep understanding and familiarity with Networking: K8S ingress, services, and Load Balancers
• Deep understanding and familiarity with AWS services, EKS, Postgres, S3, Mongo, SES, SNS, SQS
• Highly proficient with Docker and Kubernetes – a must
• Experience with continuous-integration tools (Drone, Jenkins, GitHub actions or similar)
• Experience in automated deployment and infrastructure
• Knowledge and experience with alerting and monitoring tools
Bonus points if you:
• Have additional programming languages like NodeJS – An advantage
• Are results-driven with a strong commitment to completing tasks
